According to census that was conducted in 2013 the population within the United States was an estimate of 316,497,531 and in California alone was of 38,431,393. According to the website of Public Policy Institute of California; the population in California in the year 1900 was less than 2 million. By 1950 the population grew much bigger to 10 million.
The population within California is one of the most diverse within the country. There was a survey conduceted by the American Community in 2012 where they found the diversity within the state; “39% of state residents are white, 38% are Latino, 13% Asian, 6% African American, 3% multiracial, and less than 1% American Indian or Pacific Islander.” (PPIC)
